Tired

1 min read
Recently, I've been having a lot of horrifying dreams and nightmares. The horrifying dreams are freaky, and once I wake-up i realize it, but while I'm dreaming them they don't bother me. The nightmares are usually pretty innocuous, but while I sleep I'm terrified and sad, and when I wake the feeling lingers. Last night was not as bad as usual. I dreamed I was watching a movie in which a man and his wife slowly disappeared  until all that was left was there tongues. It turned out an alien was doing it, and there was no way they could have escaped.

College essays. They're painful. Like this Debussy I'm trying to play (and failing beautifully if I may say so myself). That's about it.

In other news, oh my goodness, George Blagden is adorable. He played Grantaire (<3 <3 <3 )  in Les Mis, which is my favorite thing ever, not the 2012 movie which is what he's in and is okay I guess, just the musical in general and the book. Saw the tenth anniversary when I was a little one. Have loved it ever since. Only really started to love R after reading the book in Middle School, though. Anyways, despite not being "inordinately homely" (or an alternate translation with the same gist) as the book entails, I'm pretty sure Blagden is like my all-time favorite R, and that's saying something because Hadley Fraser also played R and I love him in Phantom. Also, they're both the opposite of inordinately homely. George Blagden is the type of ridiculously attractive that makes me wish I could draw. And his voice is beautiful and anyone who reads this should go check out his covers on YouTube now. I was so upset that they cut out his verse of Drink With Me. Alright, I've gotten all the teenage girl out of my system. I do have an excuse, being a teenage girl and all. Maybe I should get a tumblr to post this stuff.

I hope everyone had a great day! I did! I got everything I asked for (an old-fashioned metronome [The company my mom bought mine from has been making metronomes since 1895!!!!! :D], all of the scores from the Harry Potter movies for piano, one of those 3-D building puzzles [Mine looks like Big Ben!], and a violin! Yes! I got a violin!!! Now to learn how to play it... To youtube!!!! I also got a bunch of gift cards (I think I have at least $100 to Barnes and Nobles. Do I really read that much? lol I know I do), some chocolate, a new charm for my charm bracelet, and bracelet my Grandma made, various small objects in my stocking, and a magnetic Go board, so I'm very happy.

Anyways, I won't be able to learn violin or go on deviantart for some time 'cause my family and I are leaving for a ski trip tomorrow, and there will be no internet for the duration of the two day drives and stay in the mountains. I might be able to get some at the hotels, but that's unsure. I'm excited because skiing is awesome. I love snow! I never see snow because it never snows where I live, and to me it's one of the most magical things. On the downside, I have to learn two piano pieces for a recital in February and sometime in the Spring and this trip is gonna cut out quite a bit of practice time.

Also, we fostered a dog for two days, and now my grandparents are gonna take care of it. I'm not really a pet person, but I suppose she was cute. Her previous owner was a jerk. Apparently he brought her in with a muzzle (The thing's tiny! She doesn't need a muzzle!) and told the people at the shelter that she bites and is "unadoptable." My aunt who volunteers there was not impressed and took the dog to work with her that day, so she would not be put down. Then she dropped her off with us. She's very sweet. Now I have to go spend time with the other half of my family. It's present time! :)

RULES:

* For the first 10 people who comment on this journal, I will put their avatar (username in this case as I cannot figure out how to post the avatar...) and the 3 deviations that I like the most from their gallery on this list.

* If you comment, you have to do the same thing in your journal, putting the tagger in first place. The idea is not to get a free feature, but to spread art around for everyone!

So for the past couple of months or so, with the exception of the two weeks I was in Florida, I've been pretty much ignoring everything and kept holed up in my room/cave/evil lair. I didn't answer texts. I didn't go on deviant art. I only went out on family related activities. You have my apologies if I ignored you (This means you, A, as I doubt anyone else here cares whether or not I notice them). I don't really have an excuse, except that I was feeling particularly introverted, and the prospect of socializing seemed exhausting and not worth the trouble. I'm gonna try and catch up with everything, but I still have summer reading to do- I'm an annoyingly unproductive hermit.
In other news I went to see The Dark Knight Rises with some family who was in town (They teach abroad in India), and came to the realization that I'm much more likely to sympathize with/forgive/like a villain with a British accent. This bothers me as I do try to avoid judging people by those sorts of things. Also, a large number of the cast of Inception were in that movie. Thought the Superman preview might be for Aquaman at first because of all the shots of water and had a very hard time not cracking up in the theater because, honestly, a serious Aquaman movie? I'm not sure even Christopher Nolan could pull that off.
Hmm... What else? Had minor existential crisis. Tried to write horror story and scared self doing research. Bought a cute Winnie the Pooh cup. Considering writing horror stories now, but proceeding with much caution.
